The Rise of Women's Power Suit in Fashion
All women out there love wearing blazers and I am also one of them. The question arises why do we love them? The answer is quite simple somewhere in our minds the idea of Women’s Power Suit is implanted. But where did it come from? In between the era of 1950’s to 1990’s, the ever-evolving fashion world introduced the power suit for women. Brands that initiated this concept ahead of time were Coco Chanel, Hitchcock heroines, Le Smoking, and the stunning wardrobe Diane Keaton in the film Baby Boom depicting strength played a crucial role.
But what I don’t get is why the idea became obsolete in the early 2000s. Maybe, it’s because people were fashion industry couldn’t convince people at that time or it wasn’t the way it is now. The reason that comes to my mind is the “women empowerment” which is more prevalent in this era. With its precedent history, it reverted back but with much greater force this time.
Only a few producers sold boxy, unappealing pantsuits for young professionals which weren't even comfortable to wear. It was the need that made people buy them but they were never thrilled about it. Just imagine, how would one feel when he or she has to wear a constrictive suit for a whole long day. The person would feel better not wearing it again. So there was a dire need to launch a women’s suit line that could turn all the tables around.
As the days pass by, the competition in every realm of life including fashion is increasing. Brands today have to adopt a customer-centered approach so that the customer value can be delivered. In the case of power suits, how do you think they should be designed? They should be designed in a way that women embodying the dress execute elegance, class, sophistication, and a sense of empowerment.
Today it’s the time to declare “We have come a long way and finally did justice with the power suits”. If I tell you about myself, whenever I wear a power suit, I feel strong, competent, and much stronger than ever. On top of that, it makes me feel cool and I am always ready to put on my sunglasses and let my authoritative self rule the world. What I love about these suits strike a perfect balance between being fashionable enough for "fashion people" and adequately buttoned up for professionals. They are also versatile enough to be worn on weekends surprise and wow my friends as they get to see me in something different other than jeans and a casual top.
It is so exciting and satisfying to enter a room full of folks wearing jeans only to take off my coat and unveil a power suit. To think and then do something out of the box always brings out the hidden energy and that is how I feel every day. I see everyone around me wearing athleisure-centric outfits so my Power suits appear very surprising, novel, and even rebellious. Let me tell you how I style my power suit! I enjoy donning the roomy-style jacket even if it runs a little big. I roll up the sleeves up to my elbows on purpose to give off the impression that I simply tossed this on. Basically, it depends on the situation and the way I style. When I am a participant in the Panel, I make sure that I look very much put-together. The best way to do this is to wear a blazer and a skirt as a bottom-wear.
Indeed, power suits have made women's professional lives much easier and induced in us all the art of self-presentation. The perfect suit helps me feel capable even though I know I am. When I'm wearing one, people take me more seriously and you know what even I start to take myself seriously. Now I stand a little higher and so you should. Every woman should try putting on a nice suit for a while, just to see how it modifies her perception of the world around her.

Conclusion
My commitment to suiting is now complete. I am ready to break any standard set by the fashionistas and wear them even if it's not unnecessary. No offense, but in this present era everything seems athleisure-centric which I don't really prefer in my professional world which has been taken over by Power Suits. I have stepped out of casuals and embraced something that makes me feel casual even after embracing boldness. However, what you need to remember is that knowledge and confidence is a key that helps you ace in every real of life. Correct clothing may highlight your unique personality but cannot ever make up for the lack of knowledge or self-assurance as it somehow reflects from your body language.
